The 64 Midget found a ready and enthusiastic market among the dedicated MG fans as it was a sports car with all the all the traditional MG characteristics. The MG A Midget Mark I was given a 1098cc (55hp) “A” series engine and improved transmission ratios in an attempt to make the car more competitive with Triumphs recently announced Spitfire. The doors had no external handles or locks and the windows were sliding Perspex side-screens. There were 16,080 units produced with the smaller engine and only 9,601 had the 1098cc “A” version. This car has a brand new black soft top and the optional heater. If you are in the market for a mid 60’s British roadster you will find this turn key driver is priced to move quickly and is sure to appreciate!
